Danielle Quinsee

"My name is Danielle Quinsee, I'm 25 years old, I currently live and work at Wandin Riding Academy as a rider/instructor. Coming from an English riding back ground, growing up I dipped my hand in any horse related discipline that I could. Inc dressage, show jumping, eventing, games, showing, hunting and my most loved discipline BARREL RACING. I have been competitive in barrel racing for the past 5 years on my 13 year old Quarter Horse gelding "Mr Radical" (Harley) Harley is a former roping horse and we have had a play around in the roping pen and with a bit more practise (from the rider lol) I hope to be competing in Breakaway Roping in the near future. I also enjoy Team Penning with Harley but our most loved and passion is Barrel Racing! We compete all across the country side, chasing cans in hope of making our dreams come true. We compete in APRA rodeos, RSA Rodeos & ABHA Association. In 2013/2014 I was crowned the NRCA Rodeo Queen of Australia, where I was representing my much loved sport both here and overseas. In our short career Harley and I have competed in many Barrel Races and Rodeos, the highlights for me would be being invited to compete at the Melbourne International Rodeo, Sydney Equitana & Qualifying for the ABHA National Finals (2015 & 2016) in Tamworth. My goal for the coming season is to achieve personal bests, try beat those timers and aim to qualify for the RSA Finals in Dalby QLD. I also have 3 younger horses that are in the start of their training process to begin their barrel racing career."

Madison Layfield

I am an 18 year old dressage rider based in the gorgeous Yarra Valley with my team of amazing horses, Remi Legenderry (Ridge) and Remi Lady Gaga (Nala).

Remi Legenderry is a chestnut Hanoverian gelding sired by Londonderry.  Ridge was the first Londonderry foal bred on Australian soil.  He was bred by Cheryl O’Brien of Remi Stud and is owned by Elizabeth Norton in Queensland. We are currently competing Advanced level dressage and are soon to make our FEI debut.

Remi Lady Gaga is a 4yr old, black Hanoverian mare, sired by Lauries As (IMP). I have been blessed to own Nala in partnership with her breeder, Cheryl O’Brien of Remi Stud, since she was just 2½yrs old. She earned her Elite Mare Candidate status in 2015 after completing her Hanoverian Mare Test and is soon to make her debut in the dressage competition circuit.

I started riding when I was 11 years old and very early on found a passion for dressage and its magic. My first horse was a 15.2hh chestnut Thoroughbred called Sterling.  He was a fundamental part of my rapid development as a rider and without a doubt the reason I am where I am today. My ultimate goals are to represent Australia in dressage at international events such as the World Equestrian Games and hopefully the Olympics. I would love to go to Europe to compete at the big competitions in Aachen, Amsterdam and London. My long term goal is to be ranked among the top 20 dressage riders worldwide. Some of my achievements in dressage so far are:

  • Interschool Queensland Nationals Medium + Freestyle Champion 2015
  • Interschool Queensland Nationals State Teams Champions 2015
  • Queensland State Young Rider Championships 3rd overall in Medium
  • Dressage Queensland High Point Hanoverian of the Year
  • O.M. Nunn Medium Young Rider of the year Finalist and Runner Up
  • Reserve Champion Queensland Dressage Medium Leaderboard 2015
  • 2016 Queensland State Young Riders Performance Squad
  • Victorian Young Rider Championships Novice Reserve Champion 2017
  • Advanced Reserve Champion Boneo Autumn Championship 2017

Steph Lancefield

We are very excited about our latest sponsored rider joining our DBA team. Introducing Steph! We love the bling and the diversity she will bring to this amazing team of riders we have!

Steph Lancefield- 27 years old owner operator at Lancefield Bloodstock where I provide lessons, training, boutique agistment, act as a sale barn and buyers advocate. I've ridden since I was a child having always loved horses.

I've worked across the board in different areas of the equine industry ranging from Racing through to working for one of Australia's top eventing riders. I have spent multiple years working in America, running the riding program at a private summer camp and packing out mules for hunter and fishermen through the back country of the Golden Trout Wilderness park. I competed in the Australian Brumby Challenge at Equitana last year with a mare called VBA Ember.

More recently I've found a passion for riding Reining horses and have been doing so competitively for the last 8 months on my horse Dunit Til It Shone (Humphrey). I'd hopefully like to next year compete at the Reining Nationals at Tamworth after we have a bit more experience under our belts.
